At Vasaqa, our jurney began with three friends sharing a love for soul food and a passion for innovative cooking. What started as laid-back Sunday gatherings around a fire, smoking meats and enjoying cold beers, quickly evolved into a culinary venture that brought a unique twist to traditional Fijian cuisine. Inspired by the island's rich culinary heritage, we aimed to elevate our beloved comfort food by infusing it with global influences and premium ingredients.

The name "Vasaqa," meaning "to cook" in Fijian, embodies our dedication to crafting meals that not only satisfy hunger but also nourish the soul. Even amidst the challenges of the pandemic, our commitment to providing an exceptional gastronomic experience resonated with our community, leading us from a small off-site caterer to a thriving smokehouse restaurant.
